Memphis color palettes

Memphis palettes are the 1985 Milan group: terrazzo cream, formica teal, bubblegum pink, squat yellow and the black outline holding the squiggle in. They suit playful software, studios, kidult brands — design history with its tongue out.

Postmodern does not mean no rules — Memphis worked to a strict if absurd grammar. Each palette here keeps the black linework mandatory and the confetti to three hues, so the chaos reads as drawn rather than spilled.
